The curtain of the new semester has quietly lifted. In just two weeks, a series of warm and interesting stories have bloomed like beautiful flowers, adorning every corner of the interactions between teachers and students, and among the students themselves. These stories paint a wonderful picture of growth, understanding, and care. From the tender ECE to the vibrant Secondary, every age group radiates unique colours and vitality. In a subtle and profound way, teachers and students are quietly weaving networks of relationships filled with warmth. This is not only a vivid display of the twelve values of YCYW but also the blossoming of delicate emotions within the campus.
Continuation of Love
Ms Wang, the ECE LC Coordinator, warmly said, "In the first week of school, Saiman and Angela, who just entered G1 this year, were still a bit unaccustomed. They often ran back to ECE classroom seeking comfort, saying how much they missed the life in ECE. But by the second week, I don't know what magic the Primary teachers used, the children suddenly adapted and no longer sought me out. Now it's my turn to feel a bit unaccustomed, like a mother feeling a sense of loss when her children grow up and no longer rely on her. But I know they will be well taken care of by the Primary teachers." The "Magic" that the Primary teachers employed is actually a combination of patient guidance and meticulous care, helping the children quickly integrate into the new environment with love and understanding.

Regarding the "Magic," Mr Winfield, the Primary Coordinator, shared his little tricks that subtly elevate the relationships between teachers and students, as well as among the students themselves, amidst laughter and joy. Through the game "Two Truths and a Lie," teachers first started, presenting a more multi-dimensional and authentic version of themselves with sincerity and humour. The students followed suit, sharing their own little stories, which not only enhanced mutual understanding but also cultivated their observation and judgment skills. This activity not only created a positive and uplifting classroom atmosphere but also made everyone an indispensable part of this big family, collectively building a community filled with love and support.
通过相互支持实现增长
When it comes to "Support," Ms Wang, the Secondary Coordinator, has the best illustration of "Unity is Strength." Here, students are not just explorers of knowledge; they are also companions on each other's growth journeys. New students quickly become familiar with the new environment and find their place with the help of their senior peers. The mutual reminders in the flexible class system take this spirit of assistance to the next level, making every class filled with anticipation and vitality. For Ms Wang, who also just joined this family, the care from the students and the support from her colleagues have warmed her heart, making her deeply feel the warmth and sense of belonging of a home.
At YCYW Beijing Yizhuang, whether it is the innocence of young children, the lively energy of primary students, or the maturity of secondary students, the relationships between teachers and students, as well as among the students themselves, are pure and beautiful. These relationships act like invisible bonds, tightly connecting everyone's hearts and collectively writing a warm chapter for this big family. Here, relationships are not just emotional exchanges but also a driving force for learning and a ladder for growth. As YCYW’s 12 values state, it is these solid and profound relationships that pave a bright and hopeful path for the children's future.
