We are pleased to announce that we have a new Education Director joining our team at Yew Chung and Yew Wah School. Please give a warm welcome to Ms Christine Xu!

For more than 22 years, Ms Xu has played an essential role within our organization, starting as a Chinese teacher at YCIS-BJ in 1997 and progressing to become the Coordinator of the Chinese Department and later the Chinese Co-principal for YCIS-BJ. Throughout her tenure, Ms Xu made noteworthy contributions to our organization, including collaborating with CCPD to create Chinese language textbooks, facilitating training for Chinese teachers, and organizing the Chinese Language and Culture summer course. In addition, she previously held the position of Director of Curriculum and Instruction (Research & Advocacy), where she formed close partnerships with esteemed universities in China to improve the research and teaching standards of Yew Chung and Yew Wah. Subsequently, she became Executive Principal at Beijing Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy under Kaiwen Education Group.

Ms Xu's extensive expertise in international and local education, education policies, and school management makes her a valuable asset to our team. She holds a degree in Chinese from Beijing Normal University and a master's degree in Educational Management from the same university. As an active member of various international education organizations, including IBO, CIE, AIE, EARCO, and ACAMIS, Ms Xu always shares her expertise in international curriculum, bilingual teaching, and happiness education at conferences and forums. She was named one of Forbes China's Top Ten Outstanding International School Principals in 2021.

As an experienced educator, Ms Xu deeply understands the importance of school development and how to propel the school to a higher level. With the special sentiment towards "Yew Chung and Yew Wah" for over 20 years, she has accepted this appointment and plans to continue striving for the development of the organization.

Ms Xu will work closely with Mr Tin Ip as Co-Education Directors for Yew Chung and Yew Wah School. They will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our academic programs, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality education. Mr Ip joined our organisation in 1998 and was officially appointed as the Education Director as a result of his excellent leadership and reputation among teachers and staff. Mr Ip has expressed his warm welcome to Ms Xu's appointment. He said, ‘Ms Xu's in-depth understanding of our school practices and culture will be invaluable as we work towards our goal of providing world-class education to our students. As my partner, Ms Xu and I will work closely together to provide academic support to several schools within our organization’.

We are confident that Ms Xu and Mr Ip's extensive experience and their passion for education will help drive Yew Chung and Yew Wah School towards even greater success and guiding our staff and students towards achieving their full potential.
