As admission letters from prestigious universities such as Stanford University and the Rhode Island School of Design are gradually reaching the hands of YCYW students, we cannot help but ask: what has forged their brilliance in this fierce competition among the world’s top institutions?
YCYW, as a leader in education, once again reveals the answer through extraordinary admission strategies and a far-reaching educational vision. This time, we specially invited Mr. Yi Liu, Head of Career and University Guidance (CUGO) and Student Development at YCYW, and Mr. Jonathan Liu, CUGO Officer at the YCYW Beijing Yizhuang Campus, to unveil the mystery of the 2026 admission trends and gain insights into the future direction of education through the remarkable achievements of global offers.
Multi-Country Joint Applications:
Seeking Steady Success
Globalization has expanded college application choices beyond specific countries or institutions. The YCYW Class of 2025 achieved outstanding results: 334 students submitted 2,510 applications across 32 countries, receiving 1,183 offers with total scholarships exceeding 4.2 million USD.

During the early admission phase of the 2026 application season, YCYW students, leveraging their strengths and personalized planning, secured offers from top universities such as Stanford University, the University of Oxford, and the Rhode Island School of Design, once again demonstrating their leading position in global education.
In the face of an unstable international landscape, a multi-destination application strategy has become the key to breaking through. On average, each YCYW student applies to 3 to 4 countries or regions, making multi-country joint review the norm. Asian schools have become new favourites, with over 50% of students including places like Hong Kong and Singapore in their application lists. Although the US and UK remain popular, the number of applications has declined, and the total number of Chinese students studying in the US has decreased. Meanwhile, the number of international students from India, Vietnam, and other countries is rising. Competition remains fierce, making precise targeting and personalized planning essential.
Comprehensive Quality Assessment Holistic Development
Shapes Leaders
Top global universities increasingly emphasize students’ comprehensive qualities during admissions. Recent surveys on factors influencing college freshmen admissions show that beyond academic performance, leadership, community service experience, research, and talents in arts and sports are also highly valued. YCYW encourages students to participate in various extracurricular activities to cultivate social responsibility, teamwork, innovative thinking, and overall competence.
We place special emphasis on students’ exploration and practice in cutting-edge technologies. The YCYW “EdFuture Department” offers extracurricular opportunities tailored to students’ diverse academic interests, allowing them to engage in real-world scenarios such as research and business, clarifying the connection between academics and careers and enriching their experiences. The CUGO team maintains close communication with students to help translate these experiences and activities into compelling application materials.
