    Ms. Li Qi — "Navigator of the Sea of Mathematics"

    Mathematics teacher, Ms. Li Qi, holds a dual academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from University College London, UK, and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Imperial College London, UK. Her seven years studying abroad in the UK have given her a profound understanding of cutting-edge international mathematics education concepts. Since returning to China, she has been teaching at renowned international schools in Beijing, dedicated to integrating global perspectives with local teaching, guiding students to explore the beauty of mathematics, and bridging theory with practice.

    Ms. Ivene Wee — "Explorer of Science"

    Science teacher, Ms. Ivene Wee, hails from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia, holding a Bachelor of Education degree (Biological Sciences/Chinese) and a teaching certification from the Western Australian Teacher Registration Board. With 17 years of teaching experience in Singapore and Australia, she is well-versed in IB, IGCSE, GCE O-level, and Australian curricula, specializing in curriculum development and assessment strategy formulation. Her inquiry-based course design inspires students’ curiosity and critical thinking. Additionally, she leads a vibrant life and enjoys sharing her passion for exploring new cultures with her students.

    Mr. Matthew Bailey — "Dream Builder in Sports"

    Mr. Matthew Bailey, a physical education teacher, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Performance Studies and a Master’s degree in Performance Practice from the University of Plymouth, UK, and is a certified registered teacher in the UK. With over 11 years of experience in sports teaching and coaching across England, Japan, and Oman, he firmly believes that sports should be accessible to everyone. Through creative and practical training, he cultivates students’ teamwork, resilience, and self-discipline. Outside of class, he is passionate about martial arts, rugby, and other sports, continually challenging himself and growing alongside his students.

    Ms. Monique Benade — "Energizing Enlightener"

    Ms. Monique Benade, a primary school teacher, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and Life Skills Education (including Physical Education) from North-West University, South Africa, and is a certified educator by the South African Council for Educators. With three years of teaching experience, she has taught sports science in South Africa and kindergarten courses in South Korea. Known for her kindness and diligence, she is committed to creating a classroom that balances practice and vitality, encouraging students’ holistic development. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and reading, serving as a supportive mentor and friend on students’ growth journeys.

    Mr. Ronald Valle — "Drama Magician"

    Mr. Ronald Valle, a drama teacher, holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Education from the University of Illinois, USA. He also pursued further studies in Drama and Shakespeare at the University of Manchester, UK. With over 20 years of experience in drama and English education, he excels in curriculum design, drama production, and language learning. His classes are lively and fun, guiding students to explore the magic of drama through voice and movement, fostering creativity, empathy, and teamwork. He looks forward to creating a joyful and inclusive artistic space at Yew Chung Yew Wah.

    Ms. Liang Xinyi — "Navigator of Global Perspectives"

    Ms. Liang Xinyi, a global perspectives teacher, holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature and Culture from the University of Bristol, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in History Education from Shanghai Normal University. She holds China’s Senior High School Teacher Qualification, the UK’s Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and the Cambridge PDQ certificate. With eight years of experience in international schools, she specializes in guiding students through project-based learning to develop research skills and global awareness. She once won first place in the Cambridge Assessment East Asia teaching video competition and has served as a judge for multiple contests.

    Ms. Wang Wanjing — "Ambassador of Chinese Language and Culture"

    Ms. Wang Wanjing, a Chinese teacher, holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Economics from Tianjin Normal University and a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as an International Language from the Education University of Hong Kong. She possesses an IB teaching certificate and serves as an examiner for Cambridge IGCSE and A-LEVEL exams, having guided many students to win awards.
